Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - The MLT will aid clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment & prevention of diseases by accurately testing patient microbiology and immunology specimens, correlating data & reporting results promptly to support quality patient care.
Required Education and/or Experience:

A Medical Laboratory Technology Certificate from an accredited institution is required (ASCP, AAB, AMT, or equivalent certification).

Meets all qualifications set forth by CLIA for high-complexity laboratory testing and any state requirements if they apply.
Pay and Benefits:

$25 - $32 + / hour DOE

What we need: We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and organized Medical Lab Technician who is a great team player, a good communicator and has the skills and motivation to provide excellent customer service. The job entails working in an exciting and demanding high-complexity lab environment with a close-knit team. No phlebotomy is involved.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: The duties will be performed in accordance with policy and procedure, the standard of care, and in accordance with state certification. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Independently and accurately performs routine and complex molecular and immunology testing, including RT-PCR, RPR, Syphilis Confirmation Test, and QuantiFeron Test. Has more than one (1) year of molecular and/or immunology experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.Maintains a professional-level knowledge of molecular biology and diagnostics and also immunology to properly analyze and review testing, in the context of normal and abnormal or atypical findings.

The successful candidate will have excellent pipetting skills and experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory environment.

Performs initial and final review/analysis of test results and patient reports.

Records compile and maintain records according to laboratory policies to ensure state and federal regulations are upheld for all reagents, procedures, and equipment used in the testing process

Operates, calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment. Notifies the Supervisor or Director of Lab Services when complex problems occur.

Maintains effective communication within the department and with other internal and external clinical and development professionals.

May include answering telephone calls from client offices, and the receipt and accessioning of specimens to maintain a high level of customer service.
