Revenue Cycle Manager: Maintains and oversees the effective and efficient operation of the billing team including coding, save finalize, chart auditing, and charge entry processes. Coordinates and supports the day-to-day operations of the billing team. Coordinates coding and charge entry processes with other departments. This is a working supervisor position. 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Associates or Certification in a related field preferred 
  • Minimum 3 years previous billing and/or coding experience required
  • Experience in multi-specialty coding preferred 
  • Previous supervisory experience for Billing/Coding team required

Pay and Benefits:

Schedules and Location:

  • Full-time, ~40 hrs/week
  • Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm

What We Need: We are seeking a highly organized and proficient Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee and promote teamwork within our Billing department. Must have strong communication skills, work well under pressure, prioritize effectively and possess exceptional leadership qualities. The ability to train and educate a team, research and resolve problems, and work at a rapid pace are important attributes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and monitors Managers and their team members including but not limited to; Billing & Coding team and Save & Finalize team.
  • Evaluates and ensure overall goals and expectations are being met in an accurate and timely manner to create overall success in all areas of revenue cycling.
  • Regularly meets and provides feedback on performance for each member in weekly 1:1’s.
  • Implements improvements to organizational structure and workflows as needed.
  • Oversees team members' schedules, time cards, call-outs, and PTO requests.
  • Regularly participates in continued education, webinars, seminars, etc., and shares knowledge with staff to help enhance skills and keep up-to-date with the latest policies.
  • Participates in staffing needs for the Billing department by conducting interviews, coordinating the training of new hires, and performance evaluation tracking. 
  • Ensures visit queues are completed and closed, and troubleshoots claims in limbo making necessary corrections are made before resubmitting. 
  • Verifying the end-of-month work queue is completed by assisting with the complete closure of all open charts, claims, and correct documentation/codes are added. 
  • Serve as an expert resource for all coding needs and questions including staying current with reimbursement requirements for government programs and third-party payers. 
  • Accurately apply ICD and CPT codes to complex outpatient encounters in the EMR system.
  • Assist and offer input on troubleshooting appeals for denials.
  • Creates reports and presentations for administration including but not limited to; coding accuracy, timely filing, first-time claims submission, and compliance evaluations per government policies.
  • Upholds HIPAA laws and guidelines while performing all duties without exception.
